Positive attitudes to reading

Attitudes to reading begin to develop from a very young age and we know how important and beneficial reading for pleasure can be for a child’s mental health, self-esteem and overall well-being in childhood and well into adulthood.

So how do you promote reading across the whole school community?

By putting the library right at the heart of the school with Reading Cloud. Our library management system with its engaging pupil reading community helps you bring educators, senior leaders, pupils and parents together.

Engaging parents in their child’s reading

Encouraging children to read at home can be a challenge, but parents and guardians can play a huge role in developing a child’s love for reading.

With access to the Reading Cloud app at home they can get involved in many different ways such as with writing and filming book reviews, with helping their child choose what to read next and monitoring their reading progress at school.

We are delighted with the support and training we have received from Reading Cloud. Communication has been excellent, and the training was informative and valuable.
